- June 6, 2003: Currently working on a GIS / Geographic Information System in Health since February 2002. Initial work was done on Sibuyan Island. After several trials on different tools and toolkits (Geotools, Gistoolkit, Maplab, Mapserver, Geoserver and, OpenSVGMapserver, I decided to use OpenSVGMapserver for several reasons: such as ease of use, development and deployment, etc. Details of which I'll write in a separate report. - June 14, 2002: Installed both Resin-2.1.2 (not GPL) and Tomcat 3.3a.4 on the development server (gubat) for those who are interested in Java / JSP development (This server already has both PHP and Perl, MySQL and PostgreSQL).
Installed Resin to compare performance with Tomcat.

• e-CaT (Online Public Access Catalog with edit, add functions for catalog administrators)
  STATUS: [currently deployed at the Philippine Health Social Science Association (PHSSA) web site and at UP Manila Center for Gender and Women Studies (CGWS) OPAC (inaccessible at the moment. undergoing maintenance)]

• e-Ballot (Electronic Voting and Canvassing System): POGS version (early), PPS version, PPS 2003 version
  STATUS: [Used by the Philippine Obsterical and Gynecological Society (POGS) during their 2000 convention.
  A largely revised version was used by the Philippine Pediatric Society (PPS) in their Board of Trustees election during the 2002 convention. A large revision was again done (mostly in allowing both the use of the mouse and keyboard in all voting processes) for use of PPS in their 2003 convention]

• PinoyArt.com (Demo site : An auction site for Philippine arts created by a team: Mylin, Sally, Allan & Ariel))
  STATUS: [Converted from M$ Windows / Access to Linux / MySQL. Still trying to fix a few bugs in accessing MySQL database]
  TOOLS USED: [Java Server Pages / Servlets, Resin which is not GPL :-(]
  FUTURE PLANS: [have to change from Resin to Tomcat. Convert Database to PostgreSQL]

• KOHA: The first open source integrated library system. Made in New Zealand by Katipo Communications Ltd. and maintained by a team of volunteers from around the globe, the Koha system is a full catalogue, opac, circulation and acquisitions system. The system runs on Apache, Perl and MySQL.
